World Rabies Day educates communities about the risks of rabies and emphasizes the importance of timely post-exposure treatment and responsible animal care.
Rabies is a preventable, viral disease that is often transmitted from a wild animal bite by bats, raccoons, skunks, or foxes. Keeping pets up to date on their rabies vaccinations is an important way to help prevent the spread of this deadly disease and protect both animals and people.
